As explained in the Unity tutorial , non roots XAMLs need to be referenced somewhere or Unity will discard them. You can use the Preloaded Xamls list for that purpose. For now I recommend including Noesis from a single header (you can use the provided PCH header for that) and silence all the warnings using standard mechanisms (not using Noesis macros, they are there for internal usage). It is not supported yet, and even if supported the performance is never going to be close to using Path. So, I recommend converting to Path, it is trivial if you are using Blend.

Yes, of course it can be done. Noesis can be used for in-game UIs and also for desktop tools. We have many clients following both approaches.

If MinGW is binary compatible with Visual Studio files (*.lib) I don't see why it shouldn't work. Not tried though. If it is not binary compatible then you need to manually collect the exported symbols of the DLL (using GetProcAddress ). There are hundreds though, so I don't know if this is a valid ...

Yes, it can be done. Probably the fastest way (although not the more efficient) is by doing a render to texture and then using that texture in noesis.
