The frame buffer used by _noesisRenderer->Render(); is the one that needs to have a stencil buffer associated.
For offscreen render we create and set our own internal frame buffers, that is why you have to set and clear everything after that call.

Perfect, thanks for clarifying, I'll go figure out if there's anything else I'm doing wrong with the stencil buffer settings. I don't want to bother the people here too much so I'll only drop back here if I didn't figure this out by end of the week. Thank you for your help so far.
